Ruddles

An unloved, forgotten brand that languished amongst a wider portfolio. But we loved it.

We took Ruddles back to it’s county roots – but not some clichéd version of the country…the real country where farmers get cross and stuff gets killed. The Ruddles drinker knows the real country and understands and endorses the un-written rules that exist there and our campaign brings that to life.

Codorniu

 

Codorníu is the oldest and most successful cava brand in Spain.

However, in the UK it had low brand awareness, and many of those who were aware of the brand, didn’t know how to pronounce it! What’s more cava in the UK is often seen as a ‘cheap’ sparkling wine although in reality it is made in the same way as champagne. We developed a campaign that gave the brand a real sense of stature and a TV sponsorship strategy to tackle awareness head on. Continue reading

Alpha Zeta mobile website now live

WFCA have launched Alpha Zeta’s first mobile friendly website in just under 2 weeks, to support their on-bottle QR code campaign.Each bottle within Alpha Zetas range now has a QR code on the label that encourages consumers to find out more about the wine they are drinking by scanning the label with their mobile phone. The mobile website includes more on the brand, wine specific tasting card information, awards and even food pairings. WFCA appointed by Liberty Wines

WFCA have been appointed by Liberty Wines to create a brand new consumer and trade facing website for their Alpha Zeta wine brand as they look to increase the profile of the brand across all markets.Initially developed to meet the needs of the Independent and on-trade channels in the UK, Alpha Zeta is now being distributed to the US, Japan and throughout Europe.With previous experience working with alcohol brands including Beringer, Codorniu, Ruddles and Abbot Ale, WFCA were able to demonstrate their extensive knowledge in this sector and digital expertise, which helped secure the business.

Codorníu makes TV debut through sponsorship deal

Leading Spanish sparkling wine producer, Codorníu, will be featuring on UK TV screens for the first time after securing a sponsorship deal with new Channel 4 food series, ‘The Secret Supper Club’.

WFCA wins Codorníu UK creative & media account

WFCA have landed the Codorníu UK creative and media advertising account.

The Tunbridge Wells-based agency will handle strategic planning, creative and all UK on-and-offline Media Planning and Buying, and has been tasked with driving brand awareness and loyalty for the UK’s number one sparkling wine brand.

Jo Sorenson, Codorníu’s UK Brand Manager, said: “We are delighted to be investing in a new creative campaign for Codorníu. It is great to work with an agency which so clearly understands our brand and we are excited about the creative ideas we are seeing in our planning meetings.”

Codorníu is owned by Grupo Codorníu, one of the world’s oldest family-owned businesses, based in Barcelona. The Codorníu family started making wine in 1551 and in 1872 were the first to produce cava. Today, the group has the largest vineyard holding in Spain and owns 10 wineries in Spain, Argentina and the US. The UK office was established in 1997 and is located in Tunbridge Wells.
